In its most basic form, business administration is the work of managing an organization’s resources, time, and people. Business professionals seek to ensure that businesses and organizations are run effectively, efficiently, and profitably. This is a balancing act that requires knowledge and abilities from multiple domains.

Working in business administration needs both quantitative and “soft skills,” such as communicating ideas, influencing others, offering feedback, and delivering effective and engaging presentations. Finance, marketing, accounting, human resources, and information technology are all talents that business professionals must have, and they typically specialize in one of these areas.

The Professional in Business Administration track is a practical, hands-on pathway designed for building core competencies and applying proven industry standards in real business environments. Upon completion, participants earn the diploma of Professional in Business Administration and the title of Certified Professional in Business Management (CPBM) from the school, supporting them to manage operations, support strategic decisions, and advance their career in competitive business environments.

This program requires 20 Core Business Administration competency modules (BUS-P 101–120) which form the essential general business competencies. The remaining 10 modules (BUS-P 201–210) serve as electives or specializations so students can tailor their program toward Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Operations, or Human Resources. Candidates with prior certificates, diplomas, or professional qualifications may receive exemptions for individual modules.
